Well not right away anyway 🥹 We would always reccomend having your Wedding Dress getting professionally steamed (by us 💁🏼‍♀️) or your dress store. Once it’s been steamed we had a hack: Rather than putting it back in its gown cover, instead take a double duvet cover to put it in after it’s been steamed. You have more space, and can carry it around without adding creases. Pay attention ladies, there are rules: 🚩 Underwear - don’t come to your Bridal appointment with underwear that digs in, is too small or simply unflattering. So many brides come and stand in the mirror and can’t focus on anything other than the VPL staring right back at them. Bad underwear can cause lumps and bumps that you didn’t even have to begin with. 🚩 Take pictures - we still cannot get our head around why some stores don’t allow pictures. They are vital! Make sure whoever takes them takes them from the same/similar angle because then when you look back on pictures you can analyse the dresses vs pulling yourself apart as you’ve been captured from an unflattering angle. 🚩 Don’t be shy - you can admit it when you look good! As women I think we’re programmed to avoid giving ourselves compliments, but you deserve it! If you feel good, take the chance to for once don’t be self deprecating, own it! 🚩 Don’t try a veil unless you love the dress. Here us out here... Veils are magic. You could try a bin bag, add a veil and cry all the tears and say ‘it’s the one. Unless you’ve found a dress you love don’t start adding a veil as it will only confuse you and mess with your head. 🚩 Style your hair as you think you might like it on the day, or in the way that you feel your most confident. Don’t come with a scraped back bun if you feel your best with a bouncy blow, it makes no sense. Instead come with a style you like on yourself so you don’t get distracted when looking at yourself in the mirror. 🚩 Don’t waste time looking too much online, genuinely it’s pointless. You won’t be able to tell or see what you like once you begin trying on. If you come in with pre-concieved ideas of what you think you will like and it doesn’t turn out to be all you hoped and dreamed - you’ll feel stuck and stressed. Instead relax, we’re here to help and know exact what we’re doing!
